If you guessed Netflix, HBO or Hulu, you were wrong? According to a recent study, Amazon Prime Video is the most valuable media platform today.
This research takes into account the amount of movies and series available on each platform, as well as the cost of monthly fees.
Meet the study of the best streaming movies and series
The study was conducted by the gringo blog UpNext, in partnership with Reelgood, which is responsible for evaluating the performance of platforms in general. According to the data, among the six major digital platforms (which include Disney+ and Apple TV+, in addition to the others already mentioned), Amazon Prime Video has the most movies and series available per dollar paid by the consumer each month.
To arrive at the result, they took the number of content each company offers. To their surprise, Amazon Prime provides 247 series and 1427 movies per dollar to its subscribers, showing a wide advantage over its competitors. In second position is Netflix, with 149 series and 291 movies per dollar spent. The last one is Apple TV+, which provides only four series and one movie perdollar.

Now, if we consider the highest rated productions, still Amazon Prime Video comes out ahead with 63 productions per dollar. In second place is Netflix with 33 per dollar and HBO in third with 28 per dollar.
In this way, the study shows that Amazon Prime Video currently has the best cost-benefit ratio for the consumer. This is because they have access to much more content on its platform than other competitors.
Amazon, for example, charges R$9.90 per month and still offers 30 days free, while Netflix, the most basic plan costs R$21.90.
It is worth remembering that this market is very dynamic and, although one company may stand out at the moment, the competition is very fierce for markets and consumer public.
