So today we decided to help you with the best tip on how to figure out your face shape! It is a very simple and easy tip, and it will certainly help you to figure out what is the best haircut for your face, and the best beard type and glasses model for you.

Take a picture of your face

The main tip on how to figure out your face shape is this. First of all, you need to take a picture of your face. If you have long hair, tie it up completely so that it doesn't interfere with the final picture. The picture needs to be taken in a harmonious way: the camera needs to be completely straight and the picture can't be angled.

Then, print the photo or place it in a simple image editor, such as microsoft paint, and draw a vertical line dividing the face, which will be the face length line, and another horizontally dividing the face in half, which will be the face width line.

These lines will help you determine your face type by helping you analyze the length and characteristics of each side of your face.

Once you have drawn your lines, go to the next step!

Understand the proportion of the lines to identify the shape

Now, one of the main tips on how to figure out your face shape is to understand what the drawn lines mean. The main face shapes are: triangular, square, oval, heart, round, and diamond. Each of them has its own shape and specific characteristics:

1. round face

The length and width lines of the face you have drawn on your photo have the same dimensions, i.e. the same length. Also, this type of face has no straight lines, its angles are poorly defined and very rounded.

This type of face is often confused with the oval type, but the big difference lies in this fact: the forehead is small and the distance between the bottom of the nose and the chin is shorter than the length of the entire nose.

2. square face

In the square face type the length and width lines of the face also have the same dimensions, as in the round face. However, the big difference is that the lines of the face are straight and intense. This type of face has the lines of the forehead, side, chin and jaw straight, having mostly right angles.

Often, the square face can be easily identified by looking at the part of the face that lies below the face width line, which is drawn horizontally.

3. oval face

In the oval face, the length line is approximately ⅓ longer than the width line. This is a slightly elongated face type compared to the previous ones, it is soft and delicate and has no prominent angle.

4. face heart

In the heart-shaped face, the length line is longer than the width line, and the chin is pointed and the smallest point of this type of face. In heart-shaped faces, the forehead and cheekbones region are wide, and their width is similar, and the jaw lines are long and straight, tapering down to the chin.

Some people associate this face shape with an inverted triangle, where the chin is the tip of the triangle.

5. rectangular face

In the square face (also known as rectangular, which is kind of contradictory, after all, if something is square it can't be rectangular) the length line is almost twice as long as the width line, and the whole face resembles a vertical rectangle. In this type of face, the lateral lines are straight and well-defined, as well as the jaw lines.

The big difference in this type of face is that the jaw has a slight curvature, which makes it less pronounced and less square. Another striking feature is that the forehead tends to have the same width as the jaw.

6. diamond face

In the diamond-shaped face, the length line is longer than the width line, just as in the heart-shaped face the chin is prominent, having a pointed appearance.

The big difference is that in this type of face, the widest region is the cheekbones, and the forehead and hairline are narrower, while the chin is tapered and pointed. In addition, the jaw lines are long and straight, tapering slightly down to the chin.
